Love

Love comes without invitation.

Love doesn’t even knock on your door.

Love doesn’t even ask who you are or whom you are with.

It sneaked under your nose,

Cleverly, cunningly perched in your heart without notification.

All in sudden, it just knocked you down.

It’s Friday, I’m in Love!

* Full Moon taken on June 6th 2009 up above my terrace in Jakarta. The camera was shaken accidentally, so the moon was accidentally blurred into the heart shaped. I dedicated this to those who are in love…

Si Cepot

Si Cepot is the name of a puppet character in Sundanese puppetry tale. He is the joker among the other characters. In Central and East Java, the red faced wooden puppet is known as Bagong or Bawor. Wooden Puppet or Wayang Golek is one of many kinds of puppet in Indonesia. It is famously played among the Sundanese community in the Western hemisphere of Java Island. (EPS)

Fatahillah Museum

This famous building is the icon of Jakarta’s Old City area. Built in 17th century by Dutch Governor General Jan Pieterszoon Coen, the building served as Stadhuis (City Hall) and also as Raad van Justitie (Judicial Council) during the Dutch settlement in Batavia (former name of Jakarta). The museum was officially opened for public in 1939 as Oud Batavia Museum. Through many changes, the museum then inaugurated as Fatahillah Museum in 1974. The museum housed several wooden furniture collections and Batavian culture.

In modern days, the building serves not only as museum but also a public space for many activities. Surrounding by many old buildings with classical architecture, the area is a favorite place for those who loves doing photo hunting.

Where The Books Lead

A young man saw a book on the table. He took it and asked, “Who own this book?”

Across the room, a girl with a broom in her hand, answered, “It’s mine”.

The young man smiled. With the book still in his hand, he approached the girl with the broom and introduced himself.

Smiles, giggles, and stories were shared among them.

Months after months, books after books, the young man were always waiting for the girl with a broom at the front gate. She always came with another book.

Smile, giggles, and stories were shared among them.

Then, time to apart came.

No more smile, giggles, and stories shared among them.

Years after years, they never met again. Now, the books are kept on the shelves. They are memories. The unforgettable memories.

Books lead us to laughs.

Books lead us to love.

Books lead us to tears.

Books lead us to misery.

Books lead us to life.

Books lead us to You.
